Mental Health Awareness Month
MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. NAMI Westchester honors this by placing ribbons around the county, banners on the county buses, a flag raising in Yonkers, public In Our Own Voice Presentations and, our biggest event, the NAMIWalks Westchester on May 18, 2019 at Rye Town Park.
We are seeking volunteers willing to place ribbons on main streets or community centers in their hometown. Once we have a volunteer for a municipality, we will proceed to get permission from the local government to be able to display the ribbons.
Volunteers will be responsible for picking up the ribbons from our office, hanging them in the designated areas on May 1, and removing them on or before May 31.
If you would like to volunteer for our Ribbon Campaign, please fill out the form below and we will contact you. As with all of our volunteers, you must be a member of NAMI Westchester. If you are not a member or your membership has lapsed, please go to the Join Us page and process your membership. You can also download the MEMBERSHIP FORM and send a check to us at: NAMI Westchester, 100 Clearbrook Rd., Elmsford, NY 10523. Please call (914) 592-5458 with any questions.
