NAMIWalks Westchester will be on May 18, 2019. More details coming soon, stay tuned.
THE PASSION AND SPIRIT OF DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORTERS WARMED THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN NAMIWALKS WESTCHESTER 2018
Nothing could dampen the spirits of all the devoted people who came to our sixth annual walk at Rye Town Park. Although half of the expected crowd came on the rainy and windy morning, those who came truly shined, laughed, hugged, did jumping-jacks, drank coffee, and made the best of it – that’s true NAMI dedication.
The information sharing that took place over the course of our walk season was phenomenal. Almost 500 people registered on the website as participants, of which a large portion shared their links and personal stories on social media, in person and in electronic communication. This is how we shatter the stigma that has been associated with mental illness for far too long.
